The fuselage and strut kits were delivered
and inventoried. 7/22/2008 |

I immediately started cutting and fitting the left side on the lay out table. |

The left and right sides are being connected together. Everything was jigged and plumbed to make sure it comes out straight. |

Then the bulk of the welding began, and went on and on. I kept turning the fuselage over to make it easier to weld. |

Here the wing and tail mounting pieces have been added. |

It barely fits in the garage now. Made a plate for the engine where the old vacuum pump was. |

Working on the engine exhaust. I had to modify the pipes to fit under the alternator. |

Working on the electrical system, and finished the brakes. |

The fuel header tank behind the instrument panel. All of the fuel lines are finished and connected. Most of the wires are cut and in place. |

With Jeans help we were able to test fit it to the fuselage. |

The first wing is hanging from the ceiling. |

I started applying the fabric to the cockpit area. |

And painted a few of the pieces Cub Yellow. |

The final coat of the pink is done on all the pieces except the wings and ailerons. |

And with one base coat of white. The Cub Yellow is on back order. |

Finally got the Cub Yellow paint
on, and started to reassemble some parts.

The engine is mounted, and working on the exhaust pipes. |

Right side pipe is finished and painted. The left side pipe is tack welded. |

The wiring is all connected and secured. |

The tail parts are all assembled, and test fit the wings. |

The engine started right up, and I taxied around the front yard. |

Moved every thing back to the pole barn. |
